What data do we collect?

Tracking

We use Google Analytics to collect statistics of how our website is used, so that we can use that insight to make improvements on the website and how we communicate regarding the website. Google Analytics collects, among other things, information about what pages the user is visiting, what is being clicked on, technical information about the device that is used, geographical information, network information and ip-address and how the user found our website. We can not identify individuals from this data. The legal basis for collecting this data is legitimate interests.

Newsletter

If you choose to register for our newsletter we will save your email address to be able to send our newsletter to you. These email messages contain news related to viral stockholm. We store your personal data in a database on the cloud that we manage. It is important for us that you can feel secure to subscribe to our newsletter, and therefore we don’t share the list of email addresses with someone else except for what is required by the database provider. If you receive an offer or discount code through the email list it is Empiriska AB that has sent out the content, and no third-party has the opportunity to access the list or send emails to the list.

Error information

If the application runs into an error on your device we send the error information together with some information about your device to our server where we store it in a database. The purpose of this is to collect (anonymous) information about errors in the application so that we can fix them and provide you with a better experience. The information sent is technical information about the error that occured, information about the browser you are using and technical information about your device (the type of operating system and similar information). You are given an id for your device that is sent and stored in our database to make sure your device doesn't send to much error information and too often, but this deviceId can not be used to identify you as a person.

How long is my personal data stored?

We also store your email address if you have subscribed to our newsletter. This information is stored until you unsubscribe from the newsletter. You can block our Google Analytics by installing a browser extension:

Who can access the data

We are careful that only employees at Empiriska can access the data that is collected. However, since the data is collected via Google Analytics and stored on Google servers, Google INC also has access to the data. It is Google INC's terms and conditions for Google Analytics that apply for whether they have the possibility of accessing the data that is stored.

Where is the data stored

The data that is collected via Google Analytics is stored on Google’s servers for Google Analytics. The data that is collected for the newsletter is stored in a database in the European Union. When Empiriska has the need to store information like statistics of how websites are used these are stored inside document tools that Empiriska is using. This information is in that case completely without identifiers for individuals (such as id:s or ip-addresses) and with this information Empiriska can not extract any information regarding individuals. We are careful to store the data behind closed user accounts with several safety measures in place so that the data can not be accessed by an unauthorized party. Google INC is a company from the United States of America and the data they collect can be stored outside of EU/EES. Empiriska is storing your data within EU/EES when it is technically possible and something that we can control.
